Our Whipped Tallow Balm, Rescue, was named as such due to the amazing healing qualities of tallow.

Hill Farm’s Whipped Tallow Balm is formulated to soothe and comfort irritated skin without synthetic chemicals or additives. Our hand rendered, grass fed Tallow is infused with organic Calendula , Tea Tree oil and Frankincense which is gently combined with cold pressed jojoba oil.

      This combination of ingredients is known to provide topical relief to inflamed and irritated skin. Tallow has been used as an effective skincare ingredient for centuries! Our ancestors wisely used animal fats along with plant concoctions for a variety of skin and healthcare needs. As a skin moisturizer, tallow has stood the test of time because of its luxurious emollient properties. It works wonders for eczema, psoriasis, surgery scars, radiation burns, wounds, stretch marks, diaper rash, wrinkles, raw nipples during lactation, acne, rosacea, and other troubling skin conditions.  I can't help but wonder if all of the chemicals that are now added in to our cosmetics and body products cause (or exacerbate) many of these issues we suffer with.  Let's get back to a cleaner more natural, healing salve! 

Hill Farm Whipped Tallow Balm is petroleum free, paraben-free and contains no dyes or artificial fragrances. It is safe for use on sensitive skin, and can be used daily to help prevent breakouts.

Directions: Apply to the face after cleansing. A little goes a long way. Use daily if desired.

Tallow contains significant levels of:

• CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) a type of fat that has been shown to reduce cancer, lower body fat and improve brain function.

• Vitamins A, D, E and K. • Omega-3 Fatty Acids, stearates, and other fats that promote skin health and healing.

• Antioxidants. -Vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K are extremely nourishing for skin. -Alpha linoleic and linoleic acids in almost a perfect ratio of 1:1. Also known as omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, they maintain the structure and barrier function of skin. They are also helpful for anti inflammatory and immune responses in skin, including eczema and rosacea.

.  Stearic acid and oleic acid are fatty acids that are found in the outer layer of our skin, and in our sebum. They are softening, moisturizer, regenerative, and anti inflammatory. Stearic acid helps to repair skin, improve the flexibility of skin, improves skin’s barrier function.

. Oleic acid helps the various beneficial nutrients penetrate deeply into skin. -Conjugated linoleic acid or CLA has powerful anti inflammatory properties, and is also antimicrobial.

-Palmitoleic acid is a very active antimicrobial in our skin. It is also one of the basic building blocks of our skin, but it decreases as we age.Palmitic acid helps improve the smoothness of skin, and helps with skin’s barrier function, and decreases as we age.
